University Mission:
Philadelphia Biblical University exists to educate students to serve Christ in the church, society, and the world as biblically minded, well-educated, and professionally competent men and women of character.
Athletics Mission:
The primary purpose of the athletic program is to contribute toward the Mission of the University by providing a program of intercollegiate athletic competition that will assist the student in developing the leadership skills needed to be successful in life and ministry. The athletic program will be conducted in such a way as to foster positive character development and assist the student-athlete in developing Christ-like attitude and actions that will be strengthened and extended into the life of the University community and into all areas of the student-athlete's life.
Why Crimson Eagles:
PBU changed its mascot from "Crusaders" to "Crimson Eagles" in the fall of 1982. There are multiple characteristics portrayed through the eagle such as power, speed and agility. In addition, the eagle is also known for its intelligence, coordination and integrity. The athletic teams of PBU desire to model the characteristics of the eagle throughout all of their actions both on and off the field.
