Annual Golf Classic
The Department of Athletics is excited to announce that the Classic is returning to DuPont Country Club following last year's very successful outing. The date for this year’s tournament will be Monday, August 17, 2009.
Proceeds from previous PBU Golf Classics have assisted the University in upgrading and maintaining the athletic fields, renovating the weight room, purchasing a new batting cage for our baseball program, and purchasing a van to facilitate athletic team travel. Proceeds from last year's Classic paid for new backboards in the gym, helped pay for a new scoreboard and assisted the baseball and softball teams with their spring training travel.
As you can see, the Classic is a vital part of PBU's athletic fund raising program! This year's funds will be used in part to continue the upgrade of our facilities and athletic website.
The 2009 golf outing marks its 14th consecutive year.
